Costs Draftsperson (Housing Disrepair)

A Legal 500 firm is expanding its in-house costs team in Liverpool. The role centres on producing high-quality bills of costs - primarily in Housing Disrepair claims - while providing dedicated costs support to fee earners across the wider business.

• ·Manage an allocated drafting caseload, producing high-quality bills of costs in CostsMaster
• ·Provide bespoke costs support to fee earners across the department and wider group
• ·Work closely with the Department Manager to hit drafting expectations and departmental targets
• ·Maintain awareness of claim lifecycles and ensure excellent service delivery throughout
• ·Support the maintenance of departmental procedures and working practices

• ·Minimum 1 year in a bill-drafting role
• ·Proficient with CostsMaster drafting software
• ·Solid understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules, relevant legislation, case law and costs regulation
• ·Experience with Proclaim (desirable)
• ·Degree or Costs Lawyer qualification (desirable)
• ·Strong attention to detail with the ability to take ownership of your caseload
