Costs Draftsperson

A well-established national costs firm is expanding its remote team. The role offers full flexibility over working hours alongside a broad, technically varied caseload, plus real earning potential through uncapped commission.

• ·Draft bills of costs across PI, Industrial Disease, Commercial Litigation, Clinical Negligence and Credit Claims
• ·Draft schedules of costs and prepare statements for trial
• ·Advise clients on settlement recovery and technical costs issues
• ·Draft and negotiate Costs Budgets (Precedent H) and prepare for CCMCs
• ·Attend CCMC / CMC hearings to handle advocacy on Cost Budgets or directions
• ·Manage files using Proclaim and Costs Master

• ·Minimum 2 years as a Costs Draftsperson within a costs firm or law firm
• ·Strong drafting and negotiation skills across a varied caseload
• ·Proficiency with Proclaim and Costs Master
• ·Precedent H / CCMC experience desirable but not essential
• ·Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable managing your own workload
