About the Opportunity
A specialist claimant costs consultancy is expanding following continued growth and a strong pipeline of complex clinical negligence and serious injury work. This role is broader than standard drafting - you will take genuine ownership of files, drive negotiation strategy and contribute commercially from day one.
Responsibilities
- ·Take ownership of complex, high-value matters (often six and seven figures)
- ·Manage files from inception through to settlement and / or assessment
- ·Draft detailed bills, Points of Dispute, Replies and budgets
- ·Play an active role in negotiation and settlement strategy
- ·Liaise directly with senior stakeholders and clients
- ·Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate
What We're Looking For
- ·5+ years in legal costs (drafting or Costs Lawyer background)
- ·Track record on high-value, multi-track matters (particularly CN and PI)
- ·Confident running files independently
- ·Exposure to negotiation and settlement alongside strong drafting expertise
