About the Opportunity

A progressive Top 100 law firm with 650+ colleagues across 3 legal divisions and 36 specialist areas is hiring a Partner for its Dispute Resolution team in Bristol. The team advises large commercial clients, owner-managed businesses and individuals across all sectors. The role focuses on expanding the firm's DR practice in Bristol and the surrounding region, building on a strong existing market position.

Responsibilities

  • ·Deliver work on own matters efficiently, profitably and at the right resource level
  • ·Build effective relationships with clients and referrers and exceed client service expectations
  • ·Agree services with a clear basis for charging and pricing
  • ·Provide commercial, sector-aware legal advice
  • ·Input into and implement the departmental business plan, evidencing new business from BD activity
  • ·Expand network of clients and referrers and support partners in pursuing target clients
  • ·Develop an internal network to increase cross-referred work
  • ·Supervise, coach and delegate to others in the team, ensuring quality output
  • ·Understand departmental KPIs and personal contribution
  • ·Drive parts of the departmental strategy

What We're Looking For

  • ·15+ PQE dispute resolution lawyer
  • ·Established client following
  • ·Solid business plan for growth within the Bristol DR team
  • ·Experience of partnership disputes, shareholder disputes and company disputes desirable
  • ·Strong client management skills and excellent client service focus
  • ·Proven ability to win new business through BD activity
  • ·Ability to manage a small team
