About the Opportunity
A well-respected specialist costs consultancy is expanding its Paying Party team following an increase in insurer-led instructions and new contract wins. The role sits within a team of around 15 within the Defendant costs division, led by experienced, hands-on leadership.
Responsibilities
- ·Draft Points of Dispute across complex claims
- ·Review and challenge high-value bills of costs
- ·Handle negotiations and work towards commercial settlements
- ·Apply detailed knowledge of the CPR and relevant case law
- ·Manage your own caseload with increasing autonomy
What We're Looking For
- ·5+ years' experience within legal costs
- ·Strong exposure to Defendant / Paying Party work
- ·Regular experience drafting Points of Dispute
- ·Solid grounding in litigation and the CPR
- ·Confident handling high-value or complex bills
