About the Opportunity
A leading international law firm is hiring a mid-level associate with excellent academic credentials and 3-6 years of experience to join its Corporate Practice. The role offers direct partner interaction, meaningful responsibility on complex transactions and the resources of a global firm known for its inclusive and collaborative culture.
Responsibilities
- ·Represent buyers and sellers in strategic transactions across a variety of industries
- ·Contribute to the coordination and execution of successful corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity, fund formation and securities matters
- ·Draft, review and negotiate key legal documents and ancillary agreements
- ·Conduct or manage diligence reviews and coordinate deal closings
- ·Supervise and train junior associates
- ·Manage transactional specialists
- ·Help manage client relationships
- ·Support the practice by performing general research and writing as needed
What We're Looking For
- ·3-6 years of law firm experience required
- ·M&A experience required
- ·Experience in the structuring, formation and management of private equity funds preferred
- ·Experience supervising and training junior associates in transactional matters required
- ·Licensed to practice law in New Jersey or New York and in good standing
- ·Excellent written communication and strong analytical skills
- ·Conscientious with proven attention to detail
- ·Strong interpersonal skills and client service orientation
