About the Opportunity

An innovative integrated chambers operating within an award-winning Top 200 law firm (ranked 64th in The Lawyer UK 200). The department comprises barristers, pupil barristers, court advocates and clerks and is instructed by the wider business across all practice areas. Chambers has a clear growth strategy and is hiring at a pivotal stage; applicants may be based anywhere in England & Wales.

Responsibilities

  • ·Court advocacy across a broad spectrum of civil litigation
  • ·Attend conferences and settle papers
  • ·Keep up to date with procedural changes, case law and legislative developments
  • ·Assist with training and mentoring of less experienced advocates
  • ·Deliver a high-quality service supported by an experienced clerking team

What We're Looking For

  • ·Current practising certificate (or eligible to hold one)
  • ·Higher Rights of Audience where applicable
  • ·Around 5+ years' experience (individual circumstances considered)
  • ·Exceptional attention to detail and excellent written / oral communication
  • ·Resilience and ability to work independently and in a team
  • ·Personal injury litigation experience desirable
  • ·Working knowledge of the CPR desirable
  • ·Pupil supervisor experience or willingness to train desirable
  • ·Good IT literacy
