About the Opportunity
A progressive Top 100 law firm with 650+ colleagues, 36 specialist areas and 3 legal divisions across the South West, Thames Valley and London is hiring a 1-2 PQE Solicitor for its growing London Banking Team. The role supports senior team members on banking and finance transactions, develops client relationships and manages trainees and paralegals.
Responsibilities
- ·Deliver technically accurate banking and finance advice under appropriate supervision
- ·Manage transactional work including conditions precedent and signing/completion logistics
- ·Manage trainees and paralegals on appropriate tasks and manage client expectations
- ·Support partners in building, maintaining and strengthening client relationships
- ·Develop personal profile through internal and external marketing and networking
- ·Contribute to pitches and business development projects
- ·Accurate WIP recording, monitoring against estimated fees and invoicing
- ·Set and track personal SMART KPIs aligned to team strategy
- ·Support other fee earners with client onboarding, AML and compliance
- ·Share knowledge with the wider Banking team
What We're Looking For
- ·Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 1-2 PQE in general banking and finance in private practice
- ·Strong academics at university and in the SQE
- ·Professional integrity and commercial mindset
- ·Effective communicator with strong project management and time management skills
- ·Team player, flexible and adaptable
- ·Experience in Real Estate / Development Finance or Health & Social Care desirable
- ·Experience acting for overseas clients and on cross-border transactions desirable
